Our crew of 7 met at Pack and Paddle and after introductions, we all clicked and knew that a great adventure was in the making.
Our ride was uneventful until the last 12 Miles to Fort Adams Road, where we encountered numerous potholes due to recent rain. The day was cool and slightly overcast with a minor threat of rain. On our arrival we found a full parking lot, and after a brief talk we decided to walk around the primitive trail then drop down on the waterfalls and avoid the crowd.
Our trip took us up a bluff and through the splendor of the hardwood and pine forest, and then following the stream it led us into the most remote waterfalls where we at a quiet lunch.
Several Magnolia trees were seen as well as multiple birds. We then reversing course we followed the stream against the “current” and bagged 4 more waterfalls ranging in height from 10 to 30 feet.
It was a great hike with a great crew.
