Pint Night to Benefit Louisiana Folk Roots was an amazing success. Once again, the outdoor community of Lafayette turned out in force to support the good work of Todd Mouton and Louisiana Folk Roots.
As people arrived, they were greeted with a table stacked high with pint glasses donated by Olukai footwear. Already folks are talking about their collection of glasses from 2011 and 2012. Then guests chose a wrapped mystery gift from Kuhl Clothing Company and Columbia Sportswear. Outside Caleb Elliot was rocking some great music with Sam Broussard and Callie Smith. Marla was out slinging her Freetown Fries as people enjoyed contributing to Louisiana Folk Roots by filling their glasses with LA31 beer.

“Partnering with Pack & Paddle was a natural for us,” said Todd Mouton, Executive Director of Louisiana Folk Roots. “Our cultures spring from our amazing natural environment, and so many of our programs celebrate our state’s natural and cultural resources. We’re extremely grateful to the many sponsors and patrons who came out for great music, food and fun, and deeply appreciate everyone’s support of Louisiana Folk Roots’ mission and programs.”
Putting this event together with Todd and our event coordinator Rachel Adams was a true joy. Todd is a creative force and took care of finding our music for the night as well as working with LA31 on the beer. Rachel created posters, made blog and facebook posts, wrapped mystery gifts, hung Christmas lights and SO much more. Thanks to both of ya’ll for making this night possible. Thanks to our outdoor industry partners for their contributions: Olukai Footwear, Kuhl Clothing and Columbia Sportswear. We could not have done it without ya’ll!
And most of all, we wanted to say thanks to all of you – the outdoor community of Lafayette for participating and being a part of this great event.
