Our third annual Pack & Paddle Spring Kickoff Adventure Expo Weekend is the perfect series of events to launch you into spring activities in Louisiana. Four great events in one great weekend!

Breakfast Paddle at Lake Martin:
Kick off a weekend of outdoor paddling events with this early morning breakfast paddle at Lake Martin – free! Meet at the Lake Martin boat launch at 7am on Saturday, March 3rd. After a quick breakfast of coffee and beignets, we will paddle a short loop trip around Lake Martin and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Contact P&P if you need a boat. We have a special rental rate of $20 per canoe or kayak. After the paddle everyone is invited to join the club at Pack & Paddle to attend their third annual Adventure Expo.

Saturday, 10am-3pm at Pack & Paddle – This Adventure Expo will allow you to view kayaks, canoes, backpacking gear and shoes from all of our major manufacturers. The regional reps for many vendors will be on hand to show you new items for 2012!

Saturday, 10am-3pm at Pack & Paddle – All attendees will be eligible to win door prizes donated by our participating vendors. You need not be present to win – but you must attend the Adventure Expo event in order to register.

Adventure Seminars: 
As part of the Adventure Expo Weekend, we will host a series of “how to” seminars on Saturday, 10am-3pm at Pack & Paddle. Here’s a list of seminars, with specific times coming soon!

Connect with Local Adventure Clubs:
Saturday, 10am-3pm at Pack & Paddle – Meet and talk to members of local clubs to see all the new trips and events they will be hosting for 2011. On Saturday, we will have representatives of the Lafayette Paddle Club, The Lafayette Kayak Fishing Club and the Acadiana Chapter of the Sierra Club. This is the perfect opportunity to get involved with these great groups of outdoor enthusiasts!

Kayak & Canoe Demo Day at Lake Martin:
Come out to beautiful Lake Martin on Sunday, March 4th, 10am-2pm to try new models from Native, Hurricane, Hobie, Wilderness Systems, Jackson Kayaks, Diablo, Old Town and Mad River. We will have new 2012 boats in from most of our manufacturers for this demo! This will be a perfect time to enjoy paddling a variety of our boats and determine which one you like best. 
We’ll offer deals on selected boats as well at the demo.
