This is the place that always astounds first-time visitors. Two hours from Lafayette and your senses are filled by the sights, sounds and fresh fragrances of trails carved into steep moss-covered ravines that lead you to, over, or under a number of unique waterfalls. If you are quiet and patient, you could see chipmunks, marbled salamanders, and possibly birds of prey, or wild turkey. A unique wilderness, civilized by the beautifully constructed staircases and observation decks, but still possessing miles of undeveloped stream-beds surrounded by towering ridges.

    Directions to Clark Creek:
Take I-10 to Baton Rouge, then take 110 exit – North.
Follow 110 until it becomes Hwy 61 North towards St. Francisville.  At the intersection, the sign says 61 North Natchez.
After passing through St. Francisville, turn left on Hwy 66.  WATCH FOR THIS SIGN!  It is not far at all past St. Francisville.
Go 12.3 miles and take a right on Hwy 969, then go 7.2 miles and turn left towards the Pond Store (white building).
Go just past the Pond Store and the trailhead is on the left.
