When we began stocking fishing gear in 2008, many were skeptical.  Why would Pack & Paddle need to carry fishing gear when you can get so much stuff at the box stores?
What we bring to the table is local knowledge and unique brands.  Our staff hand picks every rod, every reel, every line and every lure for our fishing department.  The focus is to stock items that we have used ourselves and that we know work in our Louisiana waters.

Conventional Tackle:
We stock rods from Duce, 13 Fishing and TFO – all perfect for Louisiana waters.  Our reels are by Shimano and 13 Fishing.  We carry an extensive collection of lures that work well in our marshes for specs, reds and flounder as well as a smaller selection for fresh water.  Our staff can help you select the perfect lures for the areas you intend to fish.

Local focus:
We focus on companies that are local.  Duce is a local company located right here in Lafayette.  Many of our lures are from companies with Louisiana and Texas roots.  Companies like Egret, Fin Collectors, Paul Brown and more.
