Her journey with Pack & Paddle began behind the scenes—managing operations, inventory, and ensuring every piece of gear was ready for the next adventure. Over the years, her passion for the outdoors and for helping others connect with nature only deepened.

In October 2023, Sophe, alongside a colleague, became co-owner of Pack & Paddle, and continued on to become the sole owner in 2024, taking the reins of this Lafayette institution after its remarkable 50-year legacy. Dedicated to preserving the welcoming, community-centered spirit that has always defined Pack & Paddle, she will continue to grow its offerings through curated events, guided outings, and expert gear selection.

As a mother of two, Sophe finds constant inspiration in watching her kids discover the joy and wonder of the natural world. Her family fuels her belief that the outdoors should be accessible, safe, and fun for everyone—especially the next generation of explorers. Whether it’s paddling local bayous, hiking quiet forest trails, or camping under Louisiana stars, Sophe’s mission is to help others experience those same moments of connection, adventure, and discovery.
